We have been so busy this term that Mrs Mackenzie has forgotten to take lots of photos.
By now you will have seen our very cool Space Diorama's that we made over 2 weeks. Mr Wheeler visited our class to give us all Principal awards. We also made paper mache rockets from fizzy bottles. Some didn't manage to be painted but we may get to do this over the holidays at home. Yesterday and today we visited Harold's Life Education truck to learn about Our Body Needs and Physical Safety Decisions.
We found out that to be healthy: We need at least 12 hours sleep every night We need good healthy food that doesn't have too much sugar and salt We need lots of water We need oxygen - nice clean healthy air We need to exercise at least 30 minutes each day We need to spend less time on technology and more time outside. For our own physical safety we need to know: Our names, both first and last Our addresses At least one of our phone numbers It is a really good idea to know our mum's and dad's first names too. Here is a catch up of what we have been doing in Room 5 for the second half of Term 3.
We presented at the Week 8 Integrity Assembly. Thank you mum's and dad's who could make it to watch us. We presented a Fijian song called Bula Meleya at our Community Invite afternoon. We sang Tena Koe and Tohora Nui at our Te Reo o Te Wiki Maori afternoon. Room 5 designed their own hats for the monkey's. We wrote what we were going to use and then we made them only using the stuff that we said we were going to use. We are proud of our hats and would love for you to come and see them Well done to everyone who participated in this year's Cross Country. |
